AHS Energy has invested heavily to ensure that the wood chip will meet your needs. It is vital to pay attention to the consistency of the chip, both in terms of size and moisture content.
Biomass/Biofuel Chip
More suitable for larger energy installations such as
power stations, where the facility is able to deal with
some variability in moisture content.
Derived from forestry clearance and waste, the chip
has a moisture content of between 30% and 60%, and
is sized according to customer needs.
G30
A wood chip sized to 30mm maximum sectional area which is mainly produced from sustainable hardwood coppice using the latest specialised chipping machinery. Wood chip is then screened to remove excess fine and oversized material to ensure a constant quality of product is produced at all times. Moisture content of the finished product will not exceed 30%, held in stock either as log wood or chipped and left to rest.
G50
A larger chip size with a maximum sectional area of 50mm. Moisture can be controlled at source to produce required level to meet boiler specifications. A bulky material with larger volume storage required but able to meet needs of the larger boiler and industrial facilities.
